James White

Position: Central defender

Biography: Jim is a Dorset born centre forward who followed manager Freddie Cox from club to club. He made his debut at Bournemouth and Cox brought him to Pompey the following year. He went on to play over 300 games for four league clubs, three of which were under his first boss. Later became player-coach at Cambridge United and had a spell in Finland. White worked as a Theatre Assistant at Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge until his retirement.
