Biography: Played for Carlisle in the First Division still lives in Carlisle and was employed by a wholesale electrical company after stints as a milkman, selling insurance, being a partner in a building supplies company, and working for the Post Office and a local newspaper. All this before pursuing an academic career as a Artificial Intelligence lecturer at the University of Brighton.
